Japanese Martial Arts Festival
On 7th July, the Japanese Martial Arts Festival was magnificently conducted by the Brunei Japan Friendship Association (BJFA), the Japan International Cooperation Centre and the Embassy of Japan. Attended by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Wadood Bolkiah and Yang Mulia Pengiran Seti Aminah binti Pengiran Othman, three Japanese Martial Arts, namely, Aikido, Kendo and Karate, were performed in collaboration between Japanese and Bruneian martial artists after Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Dr. Hj Mohamad Adnan Buntar, the president of BJFA and His Excellency Ambassador Hirose Noriki delivered their speeches. All performances earned applause and admiration from the audience, and this event came to an end with great success and contributed to promote understanding towards Japanese culture here in Brunei.
